I completed my Ph.D at Purdue University where I focused on developing nutritional strategies to mitigate mycotoxin-induced intestinal barrier dysfunction in vivo and in vitro.
In Turner lab, I am particularly interested in the canonical and non-canonical function of tight junction proteins as well as the mechanisms involved in tight junction dysregulation, especially in the context of inflammatory bowel disease.
